About CryptoCreditCards.io

CryptoCreditCards.io compares cards that earn cryptocurrency rewards. Every card is scored against the same seven criteria, with the weights published in advance, so you can check our reasoning rather than take our word for it.

Who writes this

This site is written and maintained by Matthew Davis. Reviews are published under a byline because you should know who is making a recommendation about your money. If something here is wrong, it is my responsibility to fix it — tell me and I will correct it and note the correction.

The most important thing on this site

Most products marketed as “crypto credit cards” are not credit cards. They are debit or prepaid cards that spend a balance you already hold, or credit lines secured against crypto you post as collateral. The difference matters: only a true credit card builds credit history, and only a collateral product can liquidate your holdings if the market moves against you. We label the product structure on every card, on every page, including where that makes a popular card look worse.

How reviews are made

  1. 1. Terms are read from the issuer. Rates, fees, and eligibility come from the issuer’s own published terms, not from other comparison sites.
  2. 2. Seven criteria are scored 0–100. Rewards rate, foreign transaction fees, custody and asset protection, global acceptance, signup friction, annual fee, and crypto cashback quality. The methodology page gives the anchor definitions for each.
  3. 3. Fixed weights produce the score. The weights are set in advance and applied identically to every card. They are not adjusted after seeing the result.
  4. 4. Each card carries a verification date. Terms change. Where a card has not been re-checked recently, the page says so rather than quietly implying the data is current.

How this is funded

Some links on this site may earn a commission if you apply through them. That relationship is disclosed on the page carrying the link, next to the link itself — not buried here. Compensation has no effect on scores or on the order cards appear in, because the order is produced by the published rubric. Read the full advertiser disclosure.

What we do not do

This is not advice

Everything here is general information. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice, and it does not account for your circumstances. Crypto rewards are volatile and are usually a taxable event when earned or sold in the United States. Confirm anything that matters with the issuer and, where the amounts are meaningful, with a qualified professional.
